Beautiful home! I'm not seeing a gadget here for following your blog, but I'll definitely try to be back to see what's happening here at The Blissful Bee. :)
Thanks!! I'm still a bit new to the blog world so I might have had the wrong gadget up. Everything should be updated now, so feel free to subscribe! Glad you were able to stop by for a bit;)
So pretty! Welcome to the Blogisphere Amy! So glad to have a new great blog to follow :) Found you through your feature at the DIY Showoff! Have a wonderful weekend :)
Hey!! Just found you via the DIY Showoff...lovely home and I am "loving" the pool, pretty landscaping. Thank you for listing the paint colors, we have been re-doing several rooms and I found out I should have invested stock in paint! Take care and have joined as a new follower:)
Hi Amy, I found you from Pinterest when you pinned my bedroom with the wood wall headboard. Love your style, love your home, love your blog. Everything looks so collected and comfortable. Keep going!
Soooo beuatiful! I'll have to return when I have more time to browse each room. I do think that you need to come over and help me with a few things. :-)
Beautiful home! I see your blog has only been open for a few months. Will you be going back and giving us tutorials? Like for, ahem, your PAINTED CHEVRON CURTAINS?! Which are amazing, by the way. :)
I don't have a blog, but a person interested in fixing my home to be warm and cozy. Love looking at homes like yours that are so comfortable and beautiful. I signed up for your e mails and look forward to seeing more of your talent. Thanks for sharing it with the world.
Thanks so much!! I actually did a little bit of both. The matted photos were from a photography class I took in college, and the hangers were from Wal-Mart! I believe they still carry them as well. They are in the storage section I think. Hope this helps!
Wow!! I bought this house in 2000 from the original owner (with green shag carpet and flocked wallpaper!)-and my mom and dad purchased it from me not long thereafter. (You bought it from my dad.) I am so excited to see what a beautiful job you have done with the house! My parents did a lot of remodeling, as well as added the pool. My mom's decorating style was similar to yours-sadly she passed away in 2009. My dad did a modern redo later...I just love what you have done to this well-loved and happy house!!
OH my gosh - you have no idea how much you have made my day! My husband and I have been living here a year now, and I think we grow to love the house more and more every day. We always talk about how thankful we were that your dad did such a great job with the remodel. I still remember the night I found this house listed online - I fell in love even before seeing it in person. The first time we looked at it in person, we knew it had to be ours:) I always hoped whoever lived here before us would be happy with the changes we made to the house, and it makes so glad to hear that confirmation from you:) You or your dad are more than welcome to stop by sometime to see it again in person and I would love to see some of those old pictures of the house if you have any! We've always wondered how it looked in years past.
Hope all is well and thank you so much for reaching out to me:) Feel free to email me with any pictures you might have or if you would ever want to stop by!
I have gotten pulled into your gorgeous blog! I want to move right in to your beautiful home! It is stunning!!!! Cant wait to subscribe to get all the latest and greatest!
You have a wonderful welcoming home. Just found you by the update on your formal living room. So great to see. Can't wait to read how you did it on "zero dollars".
Love your house! Buying a new home ourselves and I am going nuts looking through decorating ideas! Can I ask, Is the coffee table in your living room an original piece or did you get it somewhere local?
You have such a beautiful home! Your previous home was beautiful too. I love your design choices. If you get a chance, please link this to my linky party: http://suburbsmama.blogspot.com/2013/04/sunday-linky-party-4.html

Hi there - found you at It's Overflowing today - just LOVE your style - it's just like mine except you have much more neat stuff! I love your wicker/cane bits and pieces. Your outdoor patio looks amazing - you show great use of the red/green/black/blue and touches of grey I think I noticed. That's what I do in my little place but I can never source as nice cane stuff as you have! Looking forward to following your journey!!! Have a beautiful day! :-)

DeleteDid u paint your brick?
ReplyDeleteWe didn't paint the brick ourselves, but yes it is painted. Our home was built in 1971 and I think it was painted somewhere between then and now.
DeleteJust found your blog and love it! I LOVE the hanging pictures you have in your eating area!!! Did you make them or buy them? I need to have these!
